THE ROLE
The Project Management and Business Development Intern will play an integral role by collaborating with the Founder and CEO to optimize JBIER Inc.’s overall business operations, utilizing our project tracking system while meeting strict deadlines. This includes partnering with Team Leads to oversee the accountability document to ensure that all team members attend weekly meetings and monitor the performance of priority projects. Pinpoint areas that are not meeting standards and optimize accordingly. This individual will also collaborate with the Finance team to manage business expansion, including sourcing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with investors, Universities, and Business Incubators. Please note, this role is an unpaid, remote internship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze business operations and cross-collaborate with various teams to provide insights on how to maximize profits. Identify and execute revenue-increasing initiatives, such as new brand and influencer partnerships, product sourcing, pop-up events, subscription boxes, and company outsourcing opportunities.

Working closely with the Founder and team leads to managing overall business operations. Oversee the team lead accountability document to ensure that all team members attend weekly meetings, request team meeting recordings, manage to-dos, and monitor the performance of priority projects. Pinpoint areas that are not meeting standards and optimize accordingly.

Manage team calendar by collecting all schedules and priorities from team leads and the Founder. Assign tasks to hour slots based on the team’s schedule and urgency, holding team members accountable.

Build, support, and execute JBIER’s “Five Point Structure for Partnerships” by providing an in-depth write-up of the JBIER Fashion Internship Program, including its tracks and road maps for each role, defining the value of the Internship Program to students and Universities, building out it’s pricing structure, as well as curating a detailed list of the Founder’s credentials and qualifications.

Collaborate with the Founder and team leads on meeting agendas, take notes during meetings, write recaps, and manage priorities.

Manage and respond to business emails, bringing all priority emails to attention.

Organize and maintain content on Google Drive, Shared Albums, and Discord.

Attend CEW and industry-related events, conduct market research, and create detailed reports on fashion, beauty, lifestyle, retail, and consumer trends. Translate insights into strategies for increasing sales and exposure on social media and beating the competition.

Work with the Project Management team to optimize language for all pre-written communication documents.

Collaborate with the Founder on creating new and maintaining current partnerships with Universities to support JBIER’s Fashion Internship Program, including drafting and sending high-level proposals to schools.

Work with the Founder to onboard new members onto the team for each position, including reviewing the brand book, drafting the contract, introducing Google Drive and Discord, and communicating all other training necessary for the onboarding process.

Collaborate with the Founder, Website Design, and Talent Acquisition team to execute all aspects of the JBIER career service, including high-level resume review and content creation for webinars, events, workshops, and the career service website page. Compile documents about the Founder and create an executive summary to establish credentials as a career specialist and advisor.

Partner with the Human Resources team to host quarterly one-on-ones with team members to review current performance, identify areas of concern and opportunities to advance, and promote open communication between all team members and the founder. Create reports detailing unique strategies to optimize team management and overall business operations.

Partner with the Founder and CEO to explore consulting opportunities to increase credentials and bring in additional revenue for the company.

Collaborate closely with the Founder to establish and maintain investor relationships and conduct research on potential investors. This includes evaluating potential sources of revenue, as well as continuously communicating with Universities, sending proposals, and maintaining pre-established relationships.

Research the current retail market and create reports on possible strategies to increase market share.

Develop JBIER’s strategy of targeting, approaching, and positioning ourselves to Universities/investors.

Assist Finance team with sourcing and applying for various Business Grants on behalf of JBIER Inc., JBIER Boutique, the JBIER Fashion Internship Program, and our Founder, Jessica Bierman, including those aligned with small business owners, women in business, entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and the like.

Collaborate with the Social Media Marketing team to outline a successful CAC and GTM strategy and execute social media campaigns to build brand awareness, follower count, and drive revenue. Identify potential marketing tactics to increase brand awareness and sales by accurately identifying our primary consumer demographic.

Partner with the Photography and Videography team to bring JBIER Alumni success stories to life in future business proposals.
REQUIREMENTS

All majors will be considered for this opportunity.

Administrative, project management, finance, and analytics experience are highly preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite platforms, especially Excel and Sheets.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.

Attend bi-weekly team meetings to discuss overall business operations, as well as progress and performance of projects. Ensure benchmarks are in place and goals are met according to timelines.
