THE ROLE

 

JBIER Inc. is looking for a Project Management Intern and Assistant to the Founder to join our rapidly-growing team. This intern will play an integral role by collaborating with the project management team and Founder to optimize JBIER’s overall business operations, utilizing our project tracking system while meeting strict deadlines. Please note, this role is an unpaid, remote internship.

Start date: October, November 2023
Duration: Minimum 18 hours per week for 5 months 
Location: Remote (Zoom), based in New York, NY - Hybrid optional
Communication: Bi-weekly virtual team meetings and daily breakout rooms are held via Zoom
Working Hours: Self-schedule 9 AM - 9 PM EST Monday through Friday, Saturday-Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Project Management Intern and Assistant to the Founder will play an integral role by working alongside the founder and CEO to optimize the company’s overall business operations, utilizing our project tracking system, while meeting strict deadlines. This individual will gain high-level experience of the ins and outs of  managing an e-commerce startup in the fashion industry, as well as developing and fostering a space for education and growth.

 

  • Partner with the Project Management team, Team Leads, and the Founder to oversee project performance and accountability to ensure that operations are running accordingly, including tracking the progress of priority projects and ensuring that deadlines are being met. Pinpoint areas that are not meeting standards and optimize according to plan. 

  • Analyze business operations and provide insights to maximize profits and increase revenue. Stay updated on industry trends, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail and effective communication.

  • Manage Founder’s calendar on a weekly basis by collecting all priorities and collaborating with the team to assign tasks to slots based on availability, team’s schedule, and project urgency.

  • Manage Founder’s project tracking system and check-in on progress of to-do lists, ensuring tasks are properly assigned, tracked, and completed within designated timeframes. Follow-up with team members to ensure the timely completion of tasks and address any obstacles or delays.

  • Assist with planning and executing successful team meetings by writing agendas, recaps, and taking detailed minutes of the meeting.

  • Monitor and respond to all priority emails, identifying tasks that need to be completed.

  • Compile, refine, and optimize content for key communication materials, including onboarding documents, contracts, partnership proposals, business plans, and the like. Collaborate with the team to create persuasive and visually appealing pitch decks and presentations for high-level meetings, events, and webinars, tailoring content based on audience and ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.

  • Work closely with the Founder to source and maintain partnerships with key business personnel, such as Universities, investors, mentors, influencers, customers, and brands. 

  • Assist with sourcing, networking, and communicating with key partners to continuously build and grow a powerful, collaborative JBIER board.

  • Assist with the planning and successful execution of fundraising initiatives to scale JBIER Boutique, The JBIER Fashion Internship Program, and JBIER Inc.

  • Partner with the team and Founder to successfully execute events, webinars, speaking opportunities, and workshops, including all aspects of the CAP (Career Acceleration Program) Workshops. Collaborate with the Web Design team to showcase events on the company website, as well as and Founder’s credentials on the website. Create documents highlighting the Founder's credentials as a Career Management Advisor and Coach to establish credibility.

  • Partner with the Founder and CEO to explore consulting opportunities to increase credentials and bring in additional revenue for the company.

  • Assist with data asset management by organizing content and resources across all company’s communication platforms.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • All majors will be considered for this opportunity.

  • Administrative, project management, finance, and analytics experience are highly preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite platforms, especially Excel and Sheets.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings to discuss overall business operations, as well as progress and performance of projects. Ensure benchmarks are in place and goals are met according to timelines.
