What if I told you that you could slay the day just by grabbing a glass of rosé? Jess Bierman, founder of JBIER, found a way to optimize her business by doing just that!
Teamwork makes the dream work! A team of employees should make an effort to get to know each other and bond outside of a work setting because work becomes optimized when a team gets along well and genuinely enjoys communicating with one another. But how does a team come together in a meaningful way when the work environment is remote?
The team at JBIER solved this problem during a non-work event held via
Zoom. On December 1st, 2020, the team came together for an event we like to call “Rosé and Zoom,” where team members took time to get to know one another while sipping on their drink of choice. Team members played interactive games that sparked meaningful, and often hilarious conversations.
The event commenced with everyone sharing their “Roses and Thorns,” sharing the best parts of their weeks and the challenges they overcame. This game helped everyone learn more about each other’s personal lives, and what one another truly values.
Next came a game of Fashion Trivia! It was a fun, brand-relevant game that helped the team laugh, come together, and learn some fun facts about the history of fashion.
Last came a variation of the classic game “two truths and a lie.” Team members brought three meaningful objects and told a story wherein a fact about one object was false, prompting the others to guess what in the story was untrue. This game, while full of laughs, also sparked interesting conversations that filled the rest of the event.
While scheduled to be only one hour long, the team members had so much fun that the event lasted all night! Everyone expressed joy about having participated in the event and agreed that spending such meaningful time together would only make them stronger and happier to work with one another. The JBIER team Is already prepping and excited for Rosé & Zoom Christmas Edition. Let the games play on!
Follow JBIER’s lead by filling your glass of rosé, and slay the day!
