THE ROLE

 

JBIER Inc. is looking for a Project Management Intern and Assistant to the Founder to join our rapidly-growing team. This intern will play an integral role by collaborating with the project management team and Founder to optimize JBIER’s overall business operations, utilizing our project tracking system while meeting strict deadlines. Please note, this role is an unpaid, remote internship, school credit required. Please note, this role is an unpaid, remote internship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Interns work alongside the Founder and CEO to manage a team and oversee business operations. Interns gain a high-level overview of what it is like to run, build, grow, and manage an e-commerce startup in the fashion and beauty industry while developing a space for education and growth.

 

  • Working closely with the Founder and team leads to managing overall business operations. Partner with the team leads to oversee the accountability document to ensure that all team members attend weekly meetings, request team meeting recordings, manage to-dos, and monitor the performance of priority projects. Pinpoint areas that are not meeting standards and optimize accordingly. 

  • Manage weekly team calendar by collecting all priorities from team leads and the Founder. Assign tasks to hour slots based on the team’s schedule and urgency. 

  • Collaborate with the Founder and team leads on meeting agendas, take notes during meetings, write recaps, and manage priorities. 

  • Manage and respond to business emails on Founder’s accounts, bringing all priority emails to attention.

  • Organize and maintain all content on Google Drive, Shared Albums, and Slack. Keep a record of all photographed inventory, lifestyle photographs, marketing content, and documents. 

  • Attend CEW events, conduct market research, and create detailed reports on fashion, beauty, lifestyle, retail, and consumer trends. Translate insights into strategies for increasing sales and exposure on social media and beating the competition. 

  • Work with the Project Management team to optimize language for all pre-written communication documents. 

  • Work closely with the Founder on maintaining partnerships with customers, investors, brands, Universities, influencers, manufacturers, and mentors. Stay up to date with all emails and priority projects requested by mentors. 

  • Collaborate with the Founder and web team to execute all aspects of the JBIER career service, including high-level resume review and content creation for webinars, events, workshops, and the career service website page. Compile documents about the Founder and create an executive summary to establish credentials as a career specialist and advisor. 

  • Collaborate with the Founder on creating new and maintaining current partnerships with Universities to support JBIER’s Fashion Internship Program, including drafting and sending high-level proposals to schools. 

  • Draft internal team contracts to ensure a complete understanding of JBIER expectations. 

  • Work with the finance team to research and implement a financial accounting system to track all company revenue and expenses. 

  • Analyze business operations and provide insights to maximize profits and increase revenue. 

  • Partner with the Founder to review resumes on Handshake, LinkedIn, and the JBIER website, identifying the best candidates for the role. 

  • Send interview request emails and team members' calendly links to each candidate. Send follow-up interview request emails for the final round of interviews with the Founder. 

  • Work with the Founder to onboard new members onto the team for each position, including reviewing the brand book, drafting the contract, introducing Google Drive and Slack, and communicating all other training necessary for the onboarding process.

  • Collaborate with the Founder, Website Design, and Talent Acquisition team to execute all aspects of the JBIER career service, including high-level resume review and content creation for webinars, events, workshops, and the career service website page. Compile documents about the Founder and create an executive summary to establish credentials as a career specialist and advisor.
     

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • All majors will be considered for this opportunity.

  • Administrative, project management, finance, and analytics experience are highly preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite platforms, especially Excel and Sheets.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings to discuss overall business operations, as well as progress and performance of projects. Ensure benchmarks are in place and goals are met according to timelines.
