WHY JBIER?

Hello and welcome to JBIER Inc. 

Bridging the gap between fashion, e-commerce and career development, the JBIER Fashion Internship Program is an
immersive learning experience created to support the personal, professional, and educational growth of college
students and recent graduates within a remote startup setting. With six tracks and fourteen areas of focus, internship
positions are carefully curated to align with their experience, skill sets, interests, and areas of study. Bierman’s mission
is to invest in career development by providing accelerated experience and resources necessary to kickstart professional
careers in the fashion, beauty, and retail industries, as well as opportunities to network and secure full-time positions
after graduating from the program. Bierman has turned her one-woman operation into a 30-person global team,
successfully aiding JBIER graduates in securing roles with esteemed companies, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora,
Valentino, and LoveShackFancy, as well as the TJX Companies Inc. Merchandising Internship Program.

 

REMOTE & FLEXIBLE

JBIER Fashion Internship Program is fully remote with opportunities to work in person with Jess, the founder. These opportunities range from aiding in product photography, sales product packaging, and even assisting in fashion events.

Our interns are given flexible roles that can be molded into individualized positions. These self- designed responsibilities, better aid our intern's opportunities to learn and receive valuable industry experience.

Founded by Jessica Bierman in May 2020, JBIER Inc., parent of JBIER Boutique and the JBIER Fashion Internship Program, is a rapidly expanding start-up based in New York. The business specializes in marketing, merchandising, career mentorship, and sale of various fashion, beauty, home, and lifestyle consumer goods.

“Ever since I was young, I have always dreamed of starting my own business,” Jessica Bierman, Founder and CEO of JBIER Inc. As a young entrepreneur, career management advisor, and Poshmark Ambassador, Bierman has always had a “love and passion for beauty and fashion,” which has kept her in the industries for over ten years.

At JBIER, sustainability is a key factor in our business model as we provide second-hand items through our @JBIER Poshmark account as well as through our resale page on our website. JBIER's mission is to show shoppers that no matter your style, shopping second-hand can be fun, easy, and trendy.

Business Structure

 

Seeing as this is an e-commerce, remote business, we are unable to have in-person team meetings. We hold bi-weekly virtual meetings via Zoom every Monday from 1-3 PM E.S.T and every Wednesday from 1-3 PM E.S.T. Management will assign tasks in order of priority and discuss regular business operations. Responsibilities will be delegated based on personal and professional skills. As a team, we brainstorm ideas for campaigns, collections, and specialized projects. Team members are encouraged to bring their ideas to the table. Projects will be completed based on priority; all team members are expected to collaborate on high-priority tasks.

JBIER team members will:

  • Learn a collaborative approach to solving complex business problems in a fast-paced start-up environment.

  • Develop an understanding of e-commerce platforms and business models.

  • Collaborate with diverse team members to grow e-commerce platforms, such as our company website, Poshmark, and Instagram Shops.
